Elim’s annual Chili Cook-Off was another success! We had 17 chilis competing, and such a variety of flavours (bison, moose, kangaroo and a green chili to name a few!) that we had to split the chilis into two categories for judging! Once again, our post-feast multi-generational trivia game proved to spark laughter & connection. Thank you all who came out to this event and to the Elim Women’s group for organizing. This year’s top chilis were as follows (recipes below!):

Non-traditional:

1 – Chili Verde – Cook: Jan

2 – Outback Chili – Cook: Betty

3 – Tailgate (Vegetarian) Chili – Cook: Jocelyn

Traditional:

1 – Moose Chili – Cook: Michelle (overall winner!🏆)

2 – Classic Beef Chili – Cook: Gayle

3 – Ground Beef Chili – Cook: Martin

Congratulations to all the cooks and a special congratulations to Michelle whose moose chili was deemed the overall winner by our judges!! 👏🍲🏆 Can’t wait for next year’s cook-off!
