REDEEMING THE TIME

Summer is unfolding. The daylight hours are longer and people are venturing out for walks, projects, yard care, BBQs and the lake. When we get outdoors it gives us new perspective. Most of us make a shift in how we use our time in the summer. This sermon series will invite us to reflect and reconsider how we view time. I’m sure most of us would love to go back in years to make some time-spending adjustments but we can’t. We would all do well to consider Moses’ prayer in Psalm 90:12:

 Teach us to number our days,
 that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

After laying the foundation for ‘Redeeming the Time’ on June 14, I will be addressing Work Time on Father’s Day (June 21), Play Time before the Church Picnic (June 28), and Rest Time on July 12. I am treating Communion Messages (July 5) as a stand alone focus on our hope in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
